Why is my PS4 connection speed so slow even when wired? (I get 150mbps+ wired on a computer but only 27mbps on PS4) submitted 3. Lately, I've not been getting more than about 300KB/s download on my PS4, slowing to about 100KB/s about a third of the time. 1GB usually takes about 84 minutes, so that's about an hour and a half, so 7.5GB should.
Need help with PS4 download speeds
Hey everyone, Recently I have noticed that my PS4 is not downloading content at a normal speed. I have internet speed of 15Mbps, (I know that is not the best, but still going way too slow even for those speeds).
So right now I am trying to download the Dying Light DLC, which is about 2GB. Usually that will take somewhere around 30 minutes or so. However my PS4 is downloading it very slow and it's telling me 4 hours left.. There is no way that is possible..
I run speed tests and my tests on my laptop and phone to check my wifi here at home and the speed results are fine..
Something I have noticed though is that whenever I boot my ps4 off and turn it back on it will start downloading the content at it's normal speed, so when it would tell me 4 hours left, it now tells me 13 minutes left (which should be normal as it's already downloaded over 1GB), but then after about 10 minutes, the download speed will slow down again and it would give me the long wait time again..
Does anyone know what's going on here? I'm afraid to even think that my PS4 is going bad on me already... Please Help. Thanks.
EDIT: I'm putting it in rest mode for 10 minutes to see how much downloads..
Do downloads run faster when on rest mode? Do they run slower when I have a game opened on the main menu?
Just questions I'm thinking about as to trying to figure out why the speed is so slow..
Also. there is a second PS4 is the house here and it downloaded this 2.2GB download in about 35 Minutes.

So, no matter what speed my PlayStation 4 says my download speed is, my ps4 will only download things at .02mb a second. Right now its telling me my download speed is 18mb a second, but my download is still only going at .02 mb a second. Why? Can I make it go faster?
Its worth mentioning that while my Xbox one is a little bit faster, it still doesnt give me the download speeds that it tells me I should have
