The VooPoo Drag simply put is one of the smoothest mods I’ve gotten my hands on. First things first I love the swirly resin pattern. Little touches like that help to make a mod feel more like something you can accessorize rather than a utility to quit smoking with. Also I sincerely enjoy the big watt readout. I don’t like squinting to read how hot I’m firing, so I appreciate that. Now the thing I REALLY enjoy about the VooPoo Drag is not only how quickly it fires, but how smoothly it fires. Let me explain. On other mods when you set your watt range and strength, it feels like it’s pretty much a steady ramp up to that given watt. With the Drag, it fires almost instantaneously but then it has a very smooth ramp up to that given watt. It’s a testament to the GENE chip’s technology and workmanship.
The Not So Dope
Now while I dig the look and size of the VooPoo Drag (I have big hands, so big mods work best with me), I don’t like the edges. Yes, I understand it’s a box mod but I feel that sharp edges should be phased out. Doesn’t matter how amazing the mod is, when your mod has these angled edges it does lead to a bit of fatigue when holding it for prolonged periods. The other thing (that has been noted in the community and I will wholly admit I have not experienced yet) is the fire button sticking. While this doesn’t happen to everyone, it’s stated that it may take some breaking in before the fire button moves smoothly - so I would suggest mock firing it without any batteries in the Drag to work it in.
